Color
A bright and translucent garnet red shows brilliantly, but with a subtle cloudiness and copper rim in the glass.
Nose
Entirely devoted to fruit, this red wine is simply like nectar. Sour cherry and red apple combine effortlessly with apricot, red currant and gooseberry. And in the other hand, a cotton candy...
Already the nose reveals with a smile Here it is about drinking wine from red and white grapes. The sophisticated lightness of the wine, whose strength lies precisely in not wanting too much, but to be exactly coherent, in all its supposed simplicity.
Palate
On the palate, Matassa's 2018 Tattouine Rouge delivers exactly what it promised. Pure juiciness and zero drinking resistance.
With an almost imperceptible tannin, which only tickles the mouth in a fine-grained way, this cuvée of Grenache Gris and Grenache Noir is literally proud to be slightly watery and emphasizes, laughing loudly, that in its case it is a red wine and not a red wine.
Be sure to cool down to 14°C and have enough bottles on hand.
Dangerously quickly drunk empty.
