Wine information
La Bonnode is adjacent to the La Combe DesRoches vineyard and covers two hectares at an altitude of 250 metres facing east at the foot of the Roche de Vergisson. The 35-year-old vines are mostly surrounded by old shrubs. The soils of calcareous marl and light clay are ideal for Chardonnay. The harvest took place from September 15 to 17, 2019. The Chardonnay was whole cluster pressed and spontaneously fermented. It then matured for over 17 months in barrels and in pièces of 228 liters. Malolactic fermentation followed. The added sulfur is 40 mg/l.

Nose
The 2019 Climat "La Bonnode» shows ripe and round with clear notes of ripe yellow pears and apples, white flowers and essential oils, combining here orange oil, lemon oil and mint. This is accompanied by melon, cream, a few toasted nuts and a cool stony note.
Palate
What appears so lush on the nose and also shows itself quite ripe and yellow-fruited on the palate, delivers an enormous amount of power and also a lot of pressure and freshness. This is already impressively coherent. Saint-Véran with an agile acidity, with minerality and crisp components. At the same time, there is a creamy texture in connection with the already mentioned fruit components, the light nuttiness and a hint of musk.
