Color:
In light white gold with slightly silvery reflections, the wine appears clear and shiny in the glass.
Nose:
Inspired by the blossom magic of the Palatinate flora, this Riesling from Andreas Schumann is fragrant and playful. Apple and orange blossoms, as well as those of lime and acacia, play a playful game of jumping rope with fruity notes of green apple skin, mirabelle plum and physalis. Aroma-laden, yet at the same time straightforward and restrained, the nose of this wine beckons with the allure of the hidden.
Palate:
On the palate, a variety of yellow-fleshed fruit fans out with relish and literally prances down the throat. Fruity, melting and with a bit of bacon on the ribs for the necessary hip swing, the 2016 Riesling Muschelkalk from Odinstal convinces with a seductive extract sweetness that is barely perceptible and precisely because of that in top form masters the art of "wrapping your finger around".
Juicy!
