Color
Sparkling straw yellow, delicate green reflections
Nose
The Doosberg leaves a fine but discreetly green first impression. Fresh nettle and lemon balm lead the round of aromas, followed by unripe stone fruit and a little lemon zest. White currant and a little elderflower join in. A little later a little white pepper can be guessed.
Palate
At first, this Riesling GG seems quite closed and inaccessible. Therefore, the recommendation here to supply this Riesling sufficiently with oxygen. Then it shows itself very precise and straightforward. It leaves traces of slate minerality, subtle smoky hints and a delicate melt. An incisive yellow fruitiness that increases with time complements the herbal aromas from the first nose perfectly. Deep and dark, yet always finely chiseled. A monument to Riesling, which will reveal the true greatness only over time.
