Sparkling wine info
The Pinot Noir grapes were harvested early. In combination with the chalky soils of the Isteiner Kirchberg, this resulted in a sparkling base wine with crisp, animating acidity. Half of the first fermentation took place in multiple barriques, the other half in stainless steel. The tirage bottling took place in September 2021. After at least 34 months on the lees, the sparkling wine was disgorged in November 2023 and given a low dosage of 2 g/l.
Color/Look
Brilliant golden yellow/vivid and broadly diffused perlage.
Nose
The 20 Pinot Extra Brut is characterised by vineyard peach, bright red fruit, nutty notes, tree bark, fine mushrooms and an intense mineral and chalky character, as well as a herbaceous impression. The nose is already complex and at the same time minerally and pointed.
Palate
It shines on the palate with a nutty, yeasty flavour, juicy fruit and invigorating carbon dioxide, which is wonderfully integrated into its juicy character. The perfect aperitif, which is extremely beguiling with a salty note and is the perfect complement to savoury delicacies. A very nice addition to the exciting range!
