Double brandy made from the late harvest marc of Grand Cru Altenberg Bergheim 1990. Tasting note by Hervé Schmitt When you pick up the glass, you immediately recognise the hallmark of this grape variety; the nose reveals aromas of roses, lychee and spices. At the start, the palate is delicate and sweet, leading us to an elegant bouquet where fruits and spices blend harmoniously. A long finish. An eau-de-vie made by master craftsmen. Hervé Schmitt, sommelier at the gourmet restaurant Le Relais de la Poste in Wantzenau, is one of the most distinguished of his guild in all of France. Numerous awards, like best young sommelier of Alsace 2005 or second best sommelier of France 2008, testify his outstanding professional competence.
