Color:
Sparkling golden yellow with honey-coloured reflexes.
Nose:
The 2018 Fontanasanta Manzoni Bianco exudes aromas of ripe pears, vineyard peach, honey and the scent of a summer meadow in full bloom. It is accompanied by toasted almonds and hints of dried pastry. Ethereal notes and its beguiling power and fullness take one already in the nose completely for itself.
Palate:
On the palate, it confirms its power and fullness. The yellow fruity notes and the vineyard peach seem to literally explode after sufficient aeration. An extremely exciting wine, which gets along with all mark, structure and strength with an extremely moderate alcohol of only 12.5 Vol%. It can stand some more time of storage in order to unfold its strengths completely. A drop which invites to indulge and meditate and which looks for strong partners in the kitchen to develop perfectly.
Recommendation:
If you want to enjoy it already at this point, you should definitely decant it and serve it in a sufficiently large glass. A few days of opening will also make it win. The drinking temperature is important, which should be around 14°C for the white wines from the amphorae.
