Color:
Sparkling golden yellow.
Nose:
The 2013 Vouvray Clos du Bourg smells of honey, stewed quince, ripe apples and dried apricots. The sweet and fruity aroma is accompanied by sweet flowers, hints of honey and dried pastries. By his salty and mineraischen reminiscences he already receives structure and tension in the nose.
Palate:
On the palate, the 2013 Vouvray Clos du Bourg is powerful, almost distinctive with a lot of spice and a spicy tannin structure. The whole is accompanied by a fine sweetness and a salty acidity. A truly impressive wine, which is at the very beginning of its development and which can only really unfold its strengths through a longer storage.
Recommendation:
Be sure to decant.
