Nose
Uncompromising, fleshy and spicy, this rich red cuvée is made from Monastrell and Garnatxa.
From the first moment, this wine makes clear how much it feels at home near the grill or on the table in the company of hearty food. A deep red apple is caressed by cranberries and blueberries, but even more so by the spice of rosemary, black pepper and fenugreek seeds.
Intens is truly an apt name.
Palate
On the palate, a wave of dark berry fruit breaks in the form of plum, blueberry and blackberry. The spray that this leaves behind with its fine yet animating perlage, however, again flushes the spice of this lush drink to the surface. The 2014 Intens Rosat Brut Nature from Recaredo is peppery, full-bodied and sheerly broad-legged. At the same time, it is taut and reverberates, unexpectedly, with this flavorful power, sparse.
Perfect food companion, which provides for surprises or also as Digestif quite deliciously.
