The Weissburgunder vom Löss is the entry-level wine into the world of cellar wines from the Kaiserstuhl. The wines from Löss are always characterised by their distinctive yellow-fleshed fruit and the precisely developed varietal character. The Weissburgunder was vinified 85% in steel and 15% in large wooden barrels with moderate alcohol. Biological acid reduction was deliberately omitted to preserve the freshness.
Color
Bright yellow with greenish reflections.
Nose
On the nose, all aroma controls are set to maximum. Small plump yellow pears and white nectarines fill its fruit basket, which is lined with floral notes of lime blossom and jasmine. Flawless Weissburgunder aromatics with a crystalline twist.
Mouth
On the nose, the 2020 Weissburgunder vom Löss by Franz Keller is juicy with clear fruit and a polished appearance. Everything is in its place and excellently contoured, fruit and acidity in tailor-made proportion. A crystal-clear, slim-fit Weissburgunder that is tapered, animating and super juicy.
