Saint Laurent

St. Laurent (sometimes written as Saint Laurent in French or Sankt Laurent in German) is a highly aromatic, dark-skinned grape variety. St. Laurent is thought to have originated from a cross between Pinot noir and an unknown second parent.

St. Laurent is the most widespread red grape variety in the Czech Republic and grows in all wine-growing regions in both Moravia and Bohemia.

In Austria, St. Laurent is the third most popular red grape variety and is mainly cultivated in Lower Austria and Burgenland.
