Nel 1993 ha fondato la propria azienda vinicola. La base dell'attivit\u00e0 era costituita dai vigneti della cooperativa dei suoi genitori, che sono stati gradualmente piantati con variet\u00e0 della Borgogna in aggiunta al Riesling esistente. Non tutto va nella produzione di spumanti! Oltre agli spumanti, Michael Andres produce vini eccellenti che riflettono il terroir speciale del Mittelhaardt. Coltiva appezzamenti in posizioni privilegiate come Reiterpfad, Herrgottsacker e M\u00e4ush\u00f6hle. In questa localit\u00e0 possiede uno dei pochi vigneti terrazzati rimasti nel Palatinato. Sopra Deidesheim, direttamente sul bordo dell'Haard, con una meravigliosa vista sulla pianura del Reno.
