Le Tiglat, dont le nom vient d\u2019un mot hongrois d\u00e9signant diverses esp\u00e8ces d\u2019oiseaux, est issu de sols riches en calcaire ; plus tendu, plus min\u00e9ral, il se montre presque asc\u00e9tique dans sa jeunesse. Le Darscho, n\u00e9 de sols un peu plus profonds, offre au contraire davantage de fruit et de texture, sans rien perdre en pr\u00e9cision.<\/p>\n<p>Les deux vins connaissent une <strong>fermentation spontan\u00e9e<\/strong> par levures indig\u00e8nes, sont \u00e9lev\u00e9s en f\u00fbts bourguignons et m\u00fbrissent bien plus longtemps que la plupart des blancs autrichiens avant d\u2019\u00eatre commercialis\u00e9s. The soils consist of <strong>limestone and gravel<\/strong> interspersed with sand, a combination that seems to draw Chardonnay almost by magic. Mais ce qu\u2019accomplit Heinz Velich depuis le d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1990, d\u2019abord avec son fr\u00e8re Roland, occupe une place \u00e0 part. Alors que nombre de ses confr\u00e8res brillent avec le Blaufr\u00e4nkisch ou le Zweigelt, il s\u2019est vou\u00e9 au <strong>vin blanc<\/strong>, avec une intransigeance qui n\u2019a gu\u00e8re d\u2019\u00e9quivalent en Autriche.\n\nApetlon, le village natal des deux fr\u00e8res, se trouve \u00e0 la pointe sud-est du lac de Neusiedl, l\u00e0 o\u00f9 le climat pannonien se fait sentir avec une intensit\u00e9 particuli\u00e8re : \u00e9t\u00e9s chauds et secs, hivers froids, \u00e9carts de temp\u00e9rature extr\u00eames. Les sols sont faits de <strong>calcaire et de graviers<\/strong> m\u00eal\u00e9s de sable, une configuration qui attire le Chardonnay comme par magie. Heinz Velich, le vigneron, et son fr\u00e8re Roland, qui a fond\u00e9 plus tard son propre domaine, Moric, ont compris tr\u00e8s t\u00f4t que quelque chose d\u2019exceptionnel \u00e9tait possible dans ce coin discret de l\u2019Autriche.\n\n<h2>Le Chardonnay, l\u2019\u0153uvre d\u2019une vie<\/h2>\n\nLe <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lebendigeweine.de\/fr\/velich-tiglat-2021\/\" title=\"Acheter Tiglat 2021\">Tiglat<\/a><\/strong> et le <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lebendigeweine.de\/fr\/darscho-2022-velich\/\" title=\"Acheter Darscho 2022\">Darscho<\/a><\/strong> sont bien plus que des vins de lieu-dit : ils incarnent deux fa\u00e7ons diff\u00e9rentes d\u2019aborder le c\u00e9page. Le Tiglat, dont le nom vient d\u2019un mot hongrois d\u00e9signant diverses esp\u00e8ces d\u2019oiseaux, est issu de sols riches en calcaire ; plus tendu, plus min\u00e9ral, il se montre presque asc\u00e9tique dans sa jeunesse. Le Darscho, n\u00e9 de sols un peu plus profonds, offre au contraire davantage de fruit et de texture, sans rien perdre en pr\u00e9cision.\n\nLes deux vins connaissent une <strong>fermentation spontan\u00e9e<\/strong> par levures indig\u00e8nes, sont \u00e9lev\u00e9s en f\u00fbts bourguignons et m\u00fbrissent bien plus longtemps que la plupart des blancs autrichiens avant d\u2019\u00eatre commercialis\u00e9s. Ma ci\u00f2 che Heinz Velich, in un primo tempo insieme al fratello Roland, realizza dai primi anni Novanta occupa un posto a s\u00e9. Mentre molti colleghi brillano con Blaufr\u00e4nkisch o Zweigelt, lui si \u00e8 votato al <strong>vino bianco<\/strong>, con un rigore senza compromessi che in Austria non ha eguali.\n\nApetlon, il paese natale dei due fratelli, si trova all'estremit\u00e0 sud-orientale del lago di Neusiedl, l\u00e0 dove il clima pannonico si fa sentire con particolare intensit\u00e0: estati calde e secche, inverni freddi, escursioni termiche estreme. I suoli sono fatti di <strong>calcare e ghiaia<\/strong> frammisti a sabbia, una combinazione che attira lo Chardonnay quasi per magia. Heinz Velich, il vignaiolo, e il fratello Roland, che in seguito ha fondato la propria cantina, Moric, hanno capito presto che in questo angolo poco appariscente dell'Austria era possibile qualcosa di straordinario.\n\n<h2>Lo Chardonnay come missione di vita<\/h2>\n\nIl <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lebendigeweine.de\/it\/velich-tiglat-2021\/\" title=\"Acquista Tiglat 2021\">Tiglat<\/a><\/strong> e il <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lebendigeweine.de\/it\/darscho-2022-velich\/\" title=\"Acquista Darscho 2022\">Darscho<\/a><\/strong> sono pi\u00f9 che semplici vini di singola vigna: rappresentano due modi diversi di interpretare il vitigno. Il Tiglat, che prende il nome da una parola ungherese per diverse specie di uccelli, nasce da suoli ricchi di calcare e si mostra pi\u00f9 teso, pi\u00f9 minerale, quasi ascetico in giovent\u00f9. Il Darscho, invece, da suoli un po' pi\u00f9 profondi, rivela maggiore pienezza di frutto e pi\u00f9 trama, senza perdere nulla in precisione.\n\nEntrambi i vini svolgono una <strong>fermentazione spontanea<\/strong> con lieviti indigeni, vengono affinati in fusti borgognoni e maturano molto pi\u00f9 a lungo della maggior parte dei bianchi austriaci prima di arrivare sul mercato. Questa pazienza si sente: i vini non risultano mai chiassosi o invadenti, ma si aprono lentamente, strato dopo strato, unendo forza ed eleganza. Il <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lebendigeweine.de\/it\/welschriesling-2024-velich\/\" title=\"Acquista Welschriesling 2024\">Welschriesling<\/a><\/strong>, per esempio, spesso sottovalutato in Austria, diventa da Velich un vino di una limpidezza seducente: acidit\u00e0 vivace, frutto sottile, un tocco di speziatura erbacea. Dimostra che questo vitigno pu\u00f2 fare molto di pi\u00f9 che finire negli spritz e nei vini da osteria.\n\nAnche il <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lebendigeweine.de\/it\/velich-muskat-ottonel-2022\/\" title=\"Acquista Muskat Ottonel 2022\">Muskat Ottonel<\/a><\/strong> merita attenzione: una rarit\u00e0 nella versione secca, aromatico senza sapere di profumo, con quella tensione che contraddistingue in generale i vini di Velich. Fermentazione spontanea, lungo affinamento sui lieviti, solforosa usata con parsimonia: niente di tutto questo \u00e8 uno slogan di marketing, \u00e8 pratica quotidiana. I vini non vengono chiarificati n\u00e9 filtrati, se non quando \u00e8 strettamente necessario.\n\nQuesto modo di lavorare accomuna Velich a colleghi come <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lebendigeweine.de\/it\/nittnaus-anita-hans\/\" title=\"Cantina Nittnaus Anita & Hans\">Nittnaus<\/a>, che puntano anch'essi su autenticit\u00e0 e terroir. Ma mentre altri vignaioli sperimentano e rinnovano di continuo il proprio stile, Velich resta straordinariamente fedele a se stesso. Non \u00e8 ostinazione, ma coerenza: la certezza di aver trovato la strada giusta.\n\nAlla fine restano vini che non vanno in cerca di approvazione. Sono ci\u00f2 che sono: onesti, precisi, profondi. Il Burgenland nel bicchiere, senza orpelli folcloristici. Uno Chardonnay che non ha nulla da invidiare ai modelli francesi.
