Il a fond\u00e9 son propre domaine viticole en 1993. La base de l'entreprise \u00e9tait les vignobles de la coop\u00e9rative de ses parents, qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 progressivement plant\u00e9s avec des vari\u00e9t\u00e9s bourguignonnes en plus du Riesling existant. Tout n'entre pas dans la production de vins mousseux ! Outre le vin mousseux, Michael Andres produit d'excellents vins qui refl\u00e8tent le terroir particulier du Mittelhaardt. Il cultive des parcelles dans des endroits de premier ordre, comme le Reiterpfad, le Herrgottsacker ou le M\u00e4ush\u00f6hle. \u00c0 cet endroit, il poss\u00e8de l'un des rares vignobles en terrasses qui subsistent dans le Palatinat. Au-dessus de Deidesheim, directement sur le bord du Haard, avec une vue fantastique sur la plaine du Rhin.
