Lo que hace tan especial a esta ladera escarpada: <strong>pizarra dev\u00f3nica rica en hierro<\/strong>, orientaci\u00f3n sur-suroeste y parcelas con una pendiente de hasta el 55 %. Las cepas de <a href=\"\/es\/sorte\/riesling\/\" title=\"Vinos Riesling en Vinos Vivos\">Riesling<\/a> tienen que luchar aqu\u00ed, y a cambio dan vinos de tensi\u00f3n mineral y una longevidad poco com\u00fan. El fresco valle del Ruwer, con sus noches fr\u00edas, regala a los vinos esa finura que sigue vibrando incluso despu\u00e9s de d\u00e9cadas.<\/p>\n<h2>La conexi\u00f3n con el champagne<\/h2>\n<p>En 2020, Albert Behler incorpor\u00f3 a un hombre que redefine el estilo del Karth\u00e4userhof: <strong>Mathieu Kauffmann<\/strong>, antiguo chef de cave de Bollinger y director t\u00e9cnico de Reichsrat von Buhl. This monopole of just under 20 hectares was classified in the highest category by the Royal Prussian government as early as 1868 \u2013 long before the VDP rated it as a Grosse Lage. What makes this steep slope so special: <strong>iron-rich Devonian slate<\/strong>, a south-southwest exposure and parcels with gradients of up to 55 per cent. The <a href=\"\/en\/sorte\/riesling\/\" title=\"Riesling wines at Living Wines\">Riesling<\/a> vines have to struggle here \u2013 and in return they yield wines of mineral tension and unusual longevity. The cool Ruwer valley with its fresh nights bestows upon the wines that finesse which still vibrates even after decades.\n\n<h2>The Champagne connection<\/h2>\n\nIn 2020, Albert Behler brought a man on board who is redefining Karth\u00e4userhof stylistically: <strong>Mathieu Kauffmann<\/strong>, former Chef de Cave at Bollinger and technical director at Reichsrat von Buhl. Ci\u00f2 che rende cos\u00ec speciale questo vigneto in pendenza: <strong>scisto devoniano ricco di ferro<\/strong>, esposizione a sud-sud-ovest e parcelle con pendenze fino al 55 per cento.
