Color
Dark, almost black purple with violet reflections
Nose
The nose is initially intensely characterised by pickled morello cherries and sweet cherries. A fine cloak of reduction still covers the fruit. In the second row are raspberry, elderberry as well as some fig. Cocoa butter, cinnamon and clove are actively involved in shaping its appearance and provide plenty of variety to the spiciness. A hint of beetroot contributes fruity-earthy nuances. On the floral side, violets and pansies cavort alongside some hibiscus. Fruit and spice stand up to each other. Very appealing nose of this Zweigelt from the Nussberg. With a little air and time in the glass, very clear accents of white pepper emerge.
Palate
With the first sip, this reductive idea is confirmed and expresses itself in the form of pure, cool and enormously silky fruit. Especially the morello cherry and elderberry come out clearly and distinctly. The fruit seems enormously juicy and expressive. The mouthfeel is not only characterised by this silky to cool element, but also the clear acid structure provides it with freshness and bite. In the aftertaste, it seems much clearer and lives from the onset of spiciness.
