As president of the Corsican agricultural chamber, he recognised the looming danger of standardisation through international grape varieties and the possible loss of Corsica's oenological heritage.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nAt a time when many winemakers were turning to modern varieties, Antoine created an ampelographic collection of eighteen autochthonous grape varieties - a treasure that would prove to be prophetic. Among the rescued varieties are true rarities: Bianco gentile, Brustiano, Genovese and Riminese among the white wines, Carcajolo Nero, Minustello and Morescono among the reds. Each of these varieties carries its own story, shaped by centuries of adaptation to the Corsican terroir.\n<\/p>\n<h2>Biodynamics as Philosophy<\/h2>\n<p>In harmony with cosmic forces<\/p>\n<p>\nWhen Jean-Charles Abbatucci took over the estate in 1992, he began a consistent path towards natural winemaking. The decisive step came in 2000 with the conversion to biodynamic farming. Rudolf Steiner's philosophy, which places cosmic forces and natural rhythms at the centre, found its perfect implementation in Abbatucci's vineyards.
