The little stream that babbles through the property gave the estate its name: Weinbach.\n\nThe history of this family reads like an Alsatian epic. Th\u00e9o Faller senior fought all his life for recognition of Alsace's terroirs. After his death in 1979, his widow Colette and daughters Cathy and Laurence took over: three women who led the estate to international fame. When Laurence died in 2014 and Colette in 2015, Alsace lost two of its most formative personalities.\n\nSince 2005 all 38 hectares have been farmed biodynamically<\/strong>; together with Domaine Zind-Humbrecht<\/a>, Weinbach is regarded as the region's biodynamic flagship. In questo vigneto domina nettamente il Riesling. Solo in pochi vigneti l'espressione di un Riesling si sviluppa in modo cos\u00ec nobile ed espressivo come nel <strong>Grand Cru Schlossberg<\/strong>. La cuv\u00e9e <strong>St. Catherine l\u00b4Inedit<\/strong> dello Schlossberg \u00e8 benedetta sia da un delicato residuo zuccherino sia da una grande longevit\u00e0.\n\nUn vero piacere \u00e8 anche il <em>Pinot Gris<\/em> del <strong>lieu-dit Altenbourg<\/strong>. Pinot grigio, dunque, ma dalla consistenza oleosa, con molta spinta, colore e soprattutto un residuo zuccherino perfettamente integrato. Bianchi potenti, che offrono un immenso potenziale di invecchiamento e numerose possibilit\u00e0 di abbinamento. Il bicchiere perfetto con il formaggio, con gli stufati, con la cucina coreana o thailandese.\n\nLa <strong>Cuv\u00e9e Theo<\/strong> porta il nome della figura pi\u00f9 influente della famiglia Faller. Questo Gewurztraminer \u00e8 un esempio grandioso della specialit\u00e0 alsaziana.
