Matured in large wooden barrels made of Franconian oak, the Gro\u00dfe Gew\u00e4chs is already slightly creamy in the aroma, but otherwise restrained spicy. The ripe yellow fruits, which are always typical for Silvaner and which remind of old pear varieties, of quinces and yellow plums, combine with spice, smoke and herbs.<\/div>\n<div>\n<h4>Palate<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<div>On the palate, the Silvaner turns up only slowly. The wine from old vines needs air and a big glass. Then it shows its personality with increasing finesse and elegance. It is a dark, deep Silvaner with a complex structure, earthy yet lightly floating in yellow fruit. Nougat and tobacco, licorice and pepper reveal themselves. The wine becomes more gripping and tauter with time, where at the beginning it seems almost a little full-bodied.
