The nose of the wine sways back and forth between fruit-laden aromas of green apple skin, kumquats and mirabelle plum and herbal ethereal notes of orange blossom, sage and a hint of white tea.

Palate:

On the palate, Odinstal's 2017 Riesling Muschelkalk is fervently full of mouthwatering nonchalance. Chiseling acidity cuts an arrow-straight path down the gullet, while yellow-fleshed fruit wallows sheer lust in the mouth cavity. Stony and barren, its finish inevitably makes it clear that fullness and density do not go hand in hand with heaviness, but are better not confused.
