Currant wood and blackberry leaves are chased through the chopper with moss lichen and young spruce shoots, exuding their fragrance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>That, it must be said, is one of the main tasks of this wine; to exude fragrance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h4>Palate<\/h4>\n<div>\n<p>On the palate, the 2018 Cuv\u00e9e Romanissa of Domaine Matassa shows soft curves and sends its dark red, berry fruit through the hall of mirrors, where it can be illuminated from all sides, put in perspective and admired. Satin-like tannin blows in the wind of a cool acidity that animates the dark fruit with a fresh breeze.
