Instead, expect a specimen from Extremadura, which is more of a parallel to Cabernet Francs from warmer regions like Bolgheri. This drop is ripe and chic at the same time, with cool stony nuances. With the first sip, one encounters the seductive notes of cr\u00e8me de cassis and black forest cherry, a sweet caress of liquorice, piment d'Espelette, a touch of thyme and rosemary.

\nOn the palate, the Cabernet Franc retains its warmth and maturity, is dense and concentrated with lush cherry, cassis and blackberry fruit. Don't be spared a mixture of chocolate and a hint of aniseed, subtle cedar and fermented coriander here either. Despite this density and warmth, cool mineral elements, rocks and a lively acidity swing to the fore. An all-round successful and multi-layered Cabernet Franc of a modern style.
