With only <strong>11% Alcohol<\/strong> This Syrah represents a deliberate departure from the opulence of the south of France - instead, it offers <strong>Cool freshness<\/strong>, <strong>vibrant fruit<\/strong> and an almost Burgundian elegance. The Vin de France classification allows Lubbe maximum creative freedom beyond the appellation specifications.<\/dd>\n<dt>Terroir &amp; origin<\/dt>\n<dd>Matassa lies in the <strong>northern Roussillon<\/strong> near Calce, a region between the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees. Tom Lubbe, a native South African, has been cultivating old vines here since 2003. <strong>Slate and granite floors<\/strong>. The terroir combines Mediterranean warmth with the cooling influences of the <strong>Tramontane<\/strong>, the wind that brings freshness and excitement to the wines.
