After an initial reduction, which develops into a delightful smoky note with air, a lavish fruit basket unfolds: <strong>yellow pears<\/strong>, <strong>green apricots<\/strong>, <strong>crunchy apples<\/strong> and delicate <strong>Orange blossom<\/strong> dominate. These are joined by <strong>Roasted hazelnuts<\/strong> and <strong>Cereals<\/strong> - a fascinating dichotomy between crystalline clarity and a smoky, weighted flavour.<\/dd>\n<dt>Palate<\/dt>\n<dd>Expansive, juicy, downright radiant: the ripe yellow fruit fills the entire palate with an intensity reminiscent of the flavours of the sea. <strong>Waxed apple peel<\/strong> remembered. <strong>Salted hazelnuts<\/strong>, <strong>Barley meal<\/strong> and <strong>Dried flowers<\/strong> complement the flavour. The viscous, almost creamy texture is contoured by a fine phenolic flavour at the edge of the tongue - structure meets fullness.<\/dd>\n<dt>Departure<\/dt>\n<dd>Medium-bodied with a lingering fruitiness and a nutty, slightly salty note that invites you to take another sip.<\/dd>\n<dt>Terroir &amp; origin<\/dt>\n<dd>The grapes come from the renowned Terlan vineyard <strong>Dear Aich<\/strong> and the vineyard <strong>Squirrel<\/strong>, a south-western slope at an altitude of 300 metres. The soils of sandy loam on weathered porphyry give the wine its mineral tension.<\/dd>\n<dt>Grape variety &amp; vinification<\/dt>\n<dd><strong>Pinot blanc<\/strong> (Pinot Blanc) in its purest form. Despite a challenging vintage with a wet spring and hot summer, the grapes were harvested at the end of September after a long ripening period.
