Behind this unfolds an opulent dark fruit palette of <strong>Blackberries<\/strong>, <strong>Black cherries<\/strong> and <strong>Plums<\/strong>supplemented by <strong>Sloe<\/strong>, fermented <strong>black cardamom<\/strong> and a hint of sweet pipe tobacco. Complex and multi-layered.<\/dd>\n<dt>Palate<\/dt>\n<dd>On the palate <strong>Syrah<\/strong> and <strong>Carignan<\/strong> its muscular side: dark, fleshy, with present tannins and stony minerality. <strong>Undergrowth<\/strong>, <strong>Smoked meat<\/strong>, <strong>Violets<\/strong> and <strong>Assam tea<\/strong> blend with a ferrous note. Despite its southern vigour and 14.5% alcohol, the wine has a remarkably cool, polished appearance - testimony to the altitude and the clayey terroir.
