It is more clearly than ever a varietal wine filled with pride, and just as crystal-clear about its origin. Citrus fruits from green kaffir lime to orange kumquat cavort in the glass as if it were happy hour at the cocktail bar. Last but not least, the aromas of fresh orange mint, rock candy and sweet pickled ginger, let the mind wander into just such a bar and remind you of a light mojito or gimlet.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h4>Palate<\/h4>\n<div>\n<p>The 2018 Niersteiner Riesling from Kai Sch\u00e4tzel glides across the palate with a razor-sharp edge. In the wake of its chiseling acidity, a juicy green apple dissects itself gleefully into bite-sized slices.
