The flavour is significantly more opulent than the wines from the surrounding Im Sonnenschein vineyard.<\/dd>\n<dt>Palate<\/dt>\n<dd>This is where the Ganz Horn reveals its true nature: after the sensual nose, a surprising <strong>Powerful, present structure<\/strong> with noticeable acidity. A fine tannin lends grip, while <strong>Vibrant minerality<\/strong> and <strong>Saltiness<\/strong> electrify the wine. The acidity is clearly marked, the texture fine, the drinking flow remarkable. Pure energy in the glass - a fascinating contrast to the soft nose.<\/dd>\n<dt>Departure<\/dt>\n<dd>Long, mineral and with persistent freshness. The salty component remains present and invites you to take the next sip.<\/dd>\n<dt>Terroir &amp; origin<\/dt>\n<dd>The plot <strong>Siebeldinger Ganshorn<\/strong> lies within the Im Sonnenschein site at an altitude of 160 to 250 metres with southern exposure. While the surrounding site stands on ancient shell limestone soils (220 million years old), the Ganz Horn is geologically young: <strong>Pleistocene gravel<\/strong> (approx. 1 million years old) with red sandstone, gravel and clay characterise this parcel and give the wine its unique character.<\/dd>\n<dt>Grape variety &amp; vinification<\/dt>\n<dd>100% <strong>Riesling<\/strong>, After destemming, 24 hours of maceration. Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel after pre-clarification, followed by six months maturation on the fine lees. Moderate alcohol content of 12% vol.<\/dd>\n<dt>Food pairing suggestions<\/dt>\n<dd>The minerality and acidity structure harmonise perfectly with <strong>Scallops<\/strong>, <strong>fried monkfish<\/strong> or <strong>Turbot with herb butter<\/strong>.
