Meanwhile, the blog orginalverkorkt.de has become a constant in the German-speaking wine world with more than 800 articles. Besides blogging, he is also fond of podcasting. Together with his friend Holger Klein, he produces the wine entertainment show WRINT Flaschen every four to five weeks. In addition, there are original corked podcasts with personalities from the wine world. Moreover, he regularly writes for Schluck, effilee and the taz.<br \/>\n        <br clear=\"both\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h4>Information about wine<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<div>The grapes of this wine come from the Oestrich vineyards Klosterberg, Doosberg and Lenchen, mainly from the younger vines, which do not find their way into the Gro\u00dfe Gew\u00e4chs. The whole grapes are pressed very slowly over six hours, fermented spontaneously and half of them are aged in stainless steel, the other half in wood.<\/div>\n<div>\n<h4>Colour<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<div>medium straw yellow<\/div>\n<div>\n<h4>Nose<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<div>Did the 2017 vintage of the <i>Quartzite<\/i> more of yellow-fleshed fruit, the 2018 vintage is cool and stony, spicy and herbal. On the attack one finds notes of white flowers, citrus, lanolin, yeast and lots of wet stone.<\/div>\n<div>\n<h4>Palate<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<div>On the palate the <i>Quartzite<\/i> is a powerful and intense local wine that brings together very fine acidity, youthful traces of still-sweet yeast and tart, stony and herbal notes. The sweetness of the yeast quickly disappears, and the Riesling becomes crisp dry with astringent acidity on the palate. The wine is extract-rich and grippy with, again, a dark stony note and an incisive salinity on the finish.
