Wine information<\/p>\n

The fruit of Domaine Vacheron's basic Sancerre comes from all three terroirs that Sancerre has to offer, i.e. Silex, Caillottes and Terres Blanches. The Sauvignon Blanc was fermented spontaneously and matured in stainless steel.<\/p>\n

Nose<\/p>\n

In some years, the Sancerre<\/em> Vacheron is quite loud in the sense of a clear pyrazine. This year it is subtle, fine and elegant, yet still present. All the flavours are ripe and yet fresh, reminiscent of lemons, carambola and Reineclaude, flowers and rock with a little flint. It has a good balance of serious rock spice and light-hearted cheerfulness.<\/p>\n

Palate<\/p>\n

On the palate, the Sauvignon Blanc is juicy and fresh, above all clear and precise. The acidity is present but ripe, providing plenty of pressure. The fruit is ripe green and a little yellow in colour, but does not play such a big role. This time it's more about texture, mineral energy and mouth-watering salinity in the long finish. The effect is very skilful.<\/p>\n
