Tasting note

Information about the wine:

Grown on one of the highest vineyards in the region. Planted in 1996, this vineyard is located directly in front of the house and slopes slightly towards the east. The limestone soil has optimal water and nutrient availability. Harvested by hand. 1,517 bottles 0.75l, 60 bottles 1.5l, 12 bottles 3 litres, 6 bottles 6l.

Color:

Bright and elegant golden yellow.

Nose:

The 2020 Riesling Muschelkalk is extremely exciting with a lot of terroir and a very individual aroma, away from any superficial fruit. Apple and apple peel combine with lime blossom, wine yeast and notes of almonds. With oxygen, grapefruit and tangy-fresh herbal notes appear. A Riesling that is already extremely precise, refreshing and cool on the nose.

Palate:

On the palate, it is juicy and extremely animating, the saliva begins to flow immediately, distinctly salty notes combine with lemon, accompanied by a juicy peach fruit. The end is a wonderfully animating finish, characterised by fine tannin. Great wine and food companion!

Be sure to decant. Particularly enjoyable after two days of opening.
