Clear and brilliant in the glass, this Pinot Noir shows the typical transparency of a Burgundian Pinot Noir.<\/dd>\n<dt>Nose<\/dt>\n<dd>Seductive and precise at the same time. <strong>Redcurrant<\/strong> and <strong>Sour cherry<\/strong> dominate, underpinned by subtle notes of <strong>Forest floor<\/strong> and <strong>Undergrowth<\/strong>. With the addition of air, subtle hints of <strong>Rose petals<\/strong> and a delicate <strong>Herb seasoning<\/strong>. The biodynamic cultivation is reflected in the purity and clarity of the fruit flavours.<\/dd>\n<dt>Palate<\/dt>\n<dd>Elegant and full of tension. The wine literally dances on the tongue with a silky texture and fine-grained tannins. The <strong>Cherry fruit<\/strong> is carried by a lively, cool-climate acidity that gives the wine freshness and length. A moderate 13% alcohol provides balance without heaviness. On the palate, there is a mineral precision reminiscent of humid <strong>Limestone<\/strong> a fingerprint of the first layer of donkey skin.<\/dd>\n<dt>Departure<\/dt>\n<dd>Long and vibrant with a lingering fruit echo and a fine herbal flavour. The minerality carries through to the end and leaves a salty hint that invites you to take the next sip.<\/dd>\n<dt>Terroir &amp; origin<\/dt>\n<dd>The Eselshaut vineyard in Mu\u00dfbach benefits from the ideal conditions of the Palatinate Mittelhaardt: warm enough for ripeness, cool enough for elegance. The limestone soils give the wine its characteristic minerality and finesse.<\/dd>\n<dt>Grape variety &amp; vinification<\/dt>\n<dd>Biodynamically farmed <strong>Pinot Noir<\/strong> from the VDP Erste Lage. Since 2004, consistently vinified according to biodynamic principles, with the aim of bringing the vineyard into the glass.
