Pierre Luneau and Monique Papin were part of a small movement that recognised the potential of the Melon de Bourgogne grape variety as a terroir translator and promoted it with organic and later biodynamic cultivation with their newly founded domaine in the 1990s, which has roots dating back to the early 18th century. The wines, which are now vinified by their son Pierre-Marie and his wife Marie, exemplify just how texturally and structurally strong Melon de Bourgogne can be, how well the grape variety matures and the wealth of expressive possibilities it possesses.
