Earthy notes dominate, accompanied by dried herbs, mineral rock and a bouquet of white flowers. Crunchy apple flavours blend with plums and barberries, while subtle wood nuances add depth. The nose reveals an idiosyncratic terroir that is characterised less by typical Champagne chalk and more by the different soils of the Chambrecy, Damery, Cumi\u00e8res and Hautvillers vineyards.<\/p>\n<h3>Palate<\/h3>\n<p>The Garennes develops an impressive power on the palate. Salty minerality and stony precision characterise the first impression. Intense notes of salted lemon and sour apple combine with sourdough flavours to create a demanding, taut taste. The wine takes over the palate with vigour, alternating between tension and relaxation. Creamy textures and the lively mousseux provide balance, while bright, radiant moments alternate with dark, stony phases.
