It is located on the slopes of a valley below the Roche de Vergisson, facing north. The limestone marl and light-coloured clay soils are ideal for Chardonnay. Despite this cooler terroir, the grapes ripen beautifully. The harvest took place between 31 August and 1 September 2022. The Chardonnay was pressed as a whole bunch and fermented spontaneously. It then matured for almost a year at 80 % in tanks and 20 % in up to ten-year-old barrels. <em>pi\u00e8ces<\/em>. Malolactic fermentation took place. The pH value is 3.28 and the total sulphur is 49 mg\/l.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h4>Colour<\/h4>\n<div>\n<p>Pronounced straw yellow with copper-coloured reflections<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h4>Nose<\/h4>\n<div>\n<p>The <em>2022 La Combe DesRoches<\/em> is an agile Chardonnay with a lively character. Aromatically, it oscillates between slightly citrusy-grassy notes and those of crunchy apple and cider. A little honeysuckle, honey blossom and lemon oil lie on top.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h4>Palate<\/h4>\n<div>\n<p>On the palate, the Chardonnay is juicy, bright and fine. Here, too, the open <em>Saint-V\u00e9ran<\/em> Carried by crisp apple notes that mix with a silky but lively acidity. The <em>Combe desRoches<\/em> has a creamy appearance, offers a little firm tannin, but above all a very good length.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"food_suggestion\">\n<h3>Food recommendations by
