Insights into wine

Les Petites Roches is a purist, elegant Chenin Blanc from the sun-drenched banks of the Vienne and celebrates the unique terroir of its origin in its multi-faceted bouquet. The young vines slumber on similar soil profiles, speckled with limestone, gravel and clay, which give each noble drop its unmistakable character.

Optics

The gentle veil of a light straw yellow announces the youth of this finely balanced white wine.

Bouquet

This brilliant Chenin Blanc from Chinon unfolds a refreshingly clear and sharply defined profile. It enchants the senses with a carefully orchestrated potpourri of lemons, green apples and pears, underpinned by the soft notes of chamomile and broom.

Taste

This Les Petites Roches amazes with a bright freshness on the tongue and refreshes the palate with a crisp, elegant acidity structure and an intensity that one could hardly guess at the first bouquet. The citrus fruit shines with sharpness and gives the wine an astringent appeal. A flooding minerality breaks through the stream of aromas and leads to a continuously saltier, long-lasting finish. Alongside this wealth of flavour, a hint of fine caramel surprises, giving the wine an astonishing depth. A truly successful magic potion!

Interaction with food

This Chenin Blanc complements a gourmet menu beautifully. A chicken in herby lemon pâté could be fitting, or a succulent roasted veal steak topped with an exquisite tarragon lemon butter garnished with capers. Or for vegetarians, appreciate a golden brown roasted half of pointed cabbage accompanied by crispy potatoes and finished with an almond butter. Redefining wine pairing!
