With this Meursault, Romaric Chavy delivers a classic Burgundy that conveys the DNA of its terroir with impressive clarity. The 2020 vintage shows its accessible but by no means simple side - a wine that combines substance with elegance.

Brilliant golden yellow with greenish reflections that hint at its youthful freshness. The magnum bottle promises a slower, more harmonious development than the standard bottle.

Precise and focussed, the wine opens with notes of white blossoms, Citrus fruits and a touch of Hazelnut. Underneath is a subtle mineral layer - Meursault's characteristic limestone fingerprint. With the addition of air, nuances of ripe apple and Butter, without becoming opulent.

The palate reveals the tonic structure that characterises Chavy-Chouet. The wine has a vital acidity that harmonises perfectly with the creamy texture. Medium-bodied with surprising depth, carried by a fine minerality that extends into the long, savoury finish. The 13.5% alcohol is perfectly integrated - never intrusive, always balanced.

The 2020 vintage in Burgundy was characterised by warm, dry conditions, resulting in concentrated but fresh wines. Romaric Chavy knows how to tame this power and translate it into an unadulterated style that is true to the terroir. The winery works with minimal intervention in order to preserve the natural expressiveness of the plots.

This Chardonnay is a versatile companion: Fried turbot, Scallops in butter, Lobster with saffron sauce or a classic Coq au Vin blanc. Also to Comté or Beaufort an excellent choice. Its minerality makes it the ideal partner for Oysters and Raw seafood.

The magnum bottling is not only a visual statement, but also guarantees optimum ageing over the next 5-8 years. An authentic Meursault without frills - honest, precise and with a clear origin.

Palate
