Roland Velich and his Moric winery have written winegrowing history. It only began in 2001 with the first vintage of Lutzmannsburg Alte Reben Blaufr\u00e4nkisch. Since then, not least thanks to this wine, a style of Blaufr\u00e4nkisch has established itself that can already be seen in the shape of the bottle. The name Moric stands for wines made from Blaufr\u00e4nkisch, which are stylistically located between great Burgundians, Piedmontese and Syrah from the Northern Rh\u00f4ne, yet are completely independent and have just as much potential. The greatness of Velich's wines, however, begins with the simple Blaufr\u00e4nkisch and with the white as well as the red house brand. These wines exemplify Velich's claim that wines should be open-minded, inviting, fresh and juicy, complex and easy to drink at the same time.
