Instead of the expected dried fruit flavour, the 2009 Constance presents itself with a youthful esprit: <strong>Blackcurrants and redcurrants<\/strong>, <strong>Plums<\/strong>, <strong>Japanese plum<\/strong> and <strong>Blackberries<\/strong> dominate. In the top note <strong>black tea<\/strong>, which lends the bouquet an elegant complexity. This red-fruity, berry flavour is unusual and fascinating.<\/dd>\n<dt>Palate<\/dt>\n<dd>The first sip reveals <strong>Cassis sweet<\/strong>, <strong>Honeycomb<\/strong> and <strong>Acacia blossoms<\/strong>. Despite opulent extract sweetness and creamy melting, a finely interwoven flavour <strong>Acid nerve<\/strong> balance and gives the wine impressive freshness. The finely tart phenolic flavour has a disciplining effect, prevents any heaviness and ensures a quick, animating drinking flow - a rarity with sweet wines of this intensity.<\/dd>\n<dt>Departure<\/dt>\n<dd>Overlong with a fine <strong>Cassis note<\/strong>, which remains present until the end. What is remarkable is the lightness with which this concentrated wine swings out - without heaviness, without stickiness, just pure elegance.<\/dd>\n<dt>Terroir &amp; origin<\/dt>\n<dd>The <strong>Domaine Huet<\/strong> is one of the legendary producers of the <strong>Loire<\/strong> and is regarded as a reference for <strong>Vouvray<\/strong>. The Cuv\u00e9e Constance is only produced in exceptional years from noble rot grapes and represents the top of the house.<\/dd>\n<dt>Grape variety &amp; vinification<\/dt>\n<dd>Pure sorter <strong>chenin blanc<\/strong> from selectively harvested, botrytised grapes.
