As an absolute world variety, it thrives in almost all wine-growing regions and reflects the winemaker's signature and the characteristics of its terroir like no other. From cool Chablis to sun-drenched California, Chardonnay displays an impressive range - from lean and mineral to opulent and creamy, from reductive and flinty to oxidative and buttery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this article, we look at the many facets of Chardonnay: from precise German interpretations to classic Burgundy styles and impressive examples from Austria.
