Wine information
This Trockenbeerenauslese from Welschriesling comes from the Seewinkel on Lake Neusiedl, where constant early morning fog and high humidity ensure the formation of the noble rot Botrytis. The TBA is made exclusively from raisined grapes, which are spontaneously fermented and then matured in used barriques for more than ten years.

Nose
The Trockenbeerenauslese from Welschriesling is a fantastically complex and dense sweet wine with notes of pipe tobacco and dried dates, figs, plums and apricots as well as candied ginger and oranges, honey and white nougat, malt and mocha. The TBA The fragrance is already sweet, but not at all heavy.
Palate
This is also confirmed on the palate, where this viscous, highly concentrated nectar unfolds a great complexity, glides over the tongue creamy, elegant and creamy and reveals its greatness in the perfect balance of sweetness and lively acidity as well as a fantastic saltiness that seems as if you have ripened Sauternes blended with crème caramel au beurre salé. The long wood ageing provides a lot of structure and an additional note reminiscent of roasted almonds in vanilla, which makes the wine even more complex in the ell-long finish, where it mixes with the fine bitterness and sweetness of candied bitter orange peel. Fantastic! Especially when you consider the price.
