Wine information
Grown on one of the highest vineyards in the region, harvested by hand. The largest and most important vineyard for this wine was planted in the 1980s on heavy Keuper soil. Two younger plots were added in 2004 on red sandstone and basalt. The younger plots are harvested slightly earlier and bring freshness and liveliness to the wine. 2476 bottles 0,75l, 90 1,5l bottles, 12 3,0l bottles, 12 9,0l bottles.
Color
Medium golden yellow with silvery reflections.
Nose
On the nose, the 2021 Pinot Blanc 350 N.N. is reductive, cool and somewhat shy. This changes after the spirited decanting into the carafe, then it opens up to us clearly stony notes, sea breeze and chalk dust. The fruity notes of citrus, grapefruit, quince and yellow apple delicately pave their way.
Palate
Creamy and fine, it glides over the tongue, its acidity is stimulating and wonderfully embedded in the fruit melt. The fine tannin structure gives it a wonderful framework and allows it to do entirely without the use of wood. An unbelievably multifaceted Pinot Blanc that awakens the joy of the next sip with every sip.
Be sure to decant and use large glasses.
