Update 11.05.2021
The Vorgrimmler winery is one of the undisputed pioneers of organic viticulture in Baden. The winery has been working organically for more than 30 years, and has been Demeter certified since 2006. Located in the southern Tuniberg, Vorgrimmler's vineyards are in the Tuniberg itself as well as in the Kapellenberg. On 3.2 hectares, May Britt and Klaus Vorgrimmler dedicate themselves exclusively to the cultivation of Burgundy, of which Pinot Noir makes up the lion's share with 65%. Number one among the white Burgundy varieties is the Pinot Blanc with 20% of the area. Grown on the fertile loess soils, the grapes are harvested by hand before they are spontaneously fermented with their own yeasts.
Color
Bright yellow with green reflections.
Nose
Vorgrimmler's 2019 Weissburgunder ties up a lush bouquet of white flowers, yellow apples, pears and hay flowers on the nose. A handful of young hazelnuts and fresh kitchen herbs such as borrtesch and chervil complete the still life and invite the first sip.
Mouth
On the nose, very disciplined, the rich fruit of the nose nestles with fine extract to the sinewy structure of the wine, which is determined by the youthful acidity. Embedded in noble tannins, these give it additional aromatic depth and ensure a brisk, linear drinking course.
