Color
Dark cherry red with ruby lightening towards the rim.
Nose
An earthy scent of forest foliage and undergrowth wafts from the glass on the 2017 Volnay "Les Famines". With oxygen, raspberry, cherry, cherry stone, blackberry and black currant join in. Hints of green pepper and freshly crushed black pepper add an interesting masculine touch to this feminine Volnay.
Palate
If you take it on the tongue, you will enjoy its refreshing and invigorating nature, which is further emphasized by the low alcohol content of 12.5 Vol%. The fine fruity notes of the nose combine with graphite and an extremely fine tannin structure, which is accompanied by an equally fine minerality. Pure drinking pleasure and great drinking pleasure from Burgundy!
