Nose
Chêne Bleu's 2019 Viognier is an aromatic wine with powerful appeal that demands to be decanted due to its youthfulness. With oxygen, it initially shows creamy and vanilla notes as well as a hint of light tobacco. Later, papaya, apricot, ginger freshness and orange blossom join in. What a fragrant and noble white wine that gives you the feeling of standing in front of the blossoming orange trees at Chêne Bleu or in the middle of a lavender field.
Palate
A beautiful balance between exoticism, fine wood spice and creamy impression, paired with freshness. The long salty finish beguiles the palate and calls creative cooks on the plan who can let off steam wonderfully with this wine. Simply superb!
Decant if possible and enjoy not too cold from a large Burgundy glass.
