Color
The wine shows itself in bright, slightly translucent garnet red with discreet turbidity shining in the glass.
Nose
Fragrant lightness suggests this potion already with its first scent.
Served in a black glass, the blind tasting becomes a light-hearted guessing game that resembles pot banging in the dark. On the one hand, the light-footed blend of Merlot, Lagrein and Vernatsch has floral scents of acacia and lilac, as well as bright berries like gooseberry and white currant. As is usually imbued in many white and rosé wines. On the other hand, it goes deep through a radiant earthiness and nutty notes, which, however, do not think in the least of scratching the feeling of smellable weightlessness.
This wine is color-blind. Great!
Palate
On the palate, too, the 2019 Vino Rosso Leggero from Martin Gojer von Pranzegg lives up to its name more and more each year. It presents itself like a spoonful of lovingly prepared red fruit jelly made from fresh berries of the choicest quality with a mini blob of semi-stiff cream, refreshing and satisfyingly comforting. It is more merely a red wine than a red wine. Velvety soft tannins expertly clothe its lean body. Puristic, juicy and uncomplicated. Full of vitality and stimulating freshness, the glass empties best at a drinking temperature of 12°C.
Pleasure guarantor of the carefreeness with high drinking flow.
