Info

The Moscato grapes are grown in various smaller parcels in and around Castiglione Tinella. The average age of the vines is forty years and they grow on limestone marl soils.

Directly after the harvest, the grapes are gently pressed. The must flows directly into stainless steel tanks and is cooled down considerably. In several batches, the wine is then brought back to fermentation by adding yeast to the warming must. To preserve the resulting carbonic acid, this process takes place in pressure tanks. With an alcohol yield of about 5.5% Vol, fermentation is stopped by strong cooling and rapid filtration. In principle, this Moscato d'Asti is only partially fermented and then bottled directly.

Color

Bright lemon yellow, light mousseux, bright reflections

Nose

The aroma from the glass is intense. The Moscato d'Asti seduces with plenty of lime, lemon zest and some grapefruit. Juicy peach complements the nose just as much as abundant white and yellow flowers. Jasmine, daisies and white lilac are present in an elegant way. Never intrusive, always graceful and pleasantly measured. The obligatory muscat tone is kept within limits. The fresh, clear aromas clearly predominate. A hint of local garden herbs adds another dimension to the aroma world.

Palate

On the palate, it seamlessly picks up where the nose left off. The fruit is wonderfully centralised. But it never seems overdimensioned. Always in good balance thanks to a fine acid structure. The light mousseux provides it with a delicate melt at the beginning. But quickly the fine acidity sets in and cuts this thought. At the same time, the fruit is juicy and animating. In the aftertaste, the citrus fruits and especially the white flowers come to life again.
