Info

As the name and the bottle reveal, this wine consists of 100 percent Nebbiolo grapes from the area around Alba. Only with these criteria of origin, the bottle with the label "Albeisa" can be used. The grapes even come predominantly from the DOCG areas of Barolo and Barbaresco and are grown on calcareous marl. The vine age is between 10 and 45 years and the vines are grown in wire frame systems at medium planting density. The vinification is carried out after selective manual harvesting in individual batches according to the location or parcel. A quarter of the grapes are whole clusters, the rest are destemmed. A short cold maceration takes place in stainless steel, followed by maceration with "pump over". The must and the marc are in contact with the wine for almost four weeks. The malolactic fermentation takes place in used barrique barrels. This is followed by aging by site and parcel in large wooden barrels for two years. The filling follows without fining or filtration.

Nose

The Langhe Nebbiolo Perbacco from Vietti clearly shows what makes Nebbiolo so unique. In the region around Alba, this variety is at its best. It reveals wild strawberries, dark cherries, morello cherries and blackberries. The fruit appears sweet to tart. Spices such as cinnamon, black pepper and juniper underlie this finely fragrant Piedmont. Some dark chocolate has a moderating effect. There are also distinct memories of the scent of coniferous forests. A little cedar, tobacco and discreetly earthy nuances offer the fruit a proper paroli.

Palate

In the nose it presents itself in Vietti manner. Cool, elegant and puristic. The lime in the underground is reflected in linearity. At the same time it is literally in the juice. Full of finesse, it is carried by a good acid structure. The tannin is very fine-grained and pleasantly integrated. The clear minerality underpins the elegance of this wine again and again. In the aftertaste it reveals the spicy and fruity notes from the nose. Absolutely animating to drink.
