The Vazart family has been growing grapes in Chouilly since 1785. However, the first wines were bottled by Louis and Jacques Vazart in 1950. Since 1995, the winery has been run by Jean-Pierre Vazart, who joined the Club Trésor de Champagne, one of the first associations of independent winemakers in Champagne, just one year later. The estate has 11 hectares, all of which are in Chouilly. Jean-Pierre cultivates ageing in stainless steel - including malolactic fermentation. The reserve wines essentially come from a solera that was started in 1982 and from which their own champagne is now made. The non-vintage champagnes show the typical style of the place. They are ideal aperitif champagnes with lots of fruit, freshness, elegance and harmony. The vintage champagnes are fuller, more powerful and mineral with a lot of substance.
