Color
Dark purple with a purple rim and opaque core, the wine is clear and bright in the glass.
Nose
An olfactory forest walk reveals itself to the nose. Dry leaves and chestnuts, as well as cedar and pine cones, spruce needles and moss draw an exciting and coherent overall picture. In addition, perceived softness comes into play through the dark berry fruit of heart cherries, elderberries and plums cooked in with cloves.
Palate
The palate of the 2016 Vaqueyras of Domaine D'Ouréa keeps the promise of the nose and turbulently repeats the aromatic play of its fragrance. There is also a liquorice component that adds depth. The tannins of Adrien Roustan's wine are still pronounced, due to its youth, but ripe, soft and essential. Despite its medium weight, this Vaqueyras has an animating freshness.
