Color
Dark bright cherry red with violet reflections
Nose
The international Priorat cuvée of Cariñena, Garnacha negra, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon shows typical characteristics of its origin and make. Black olive, pepper, juniper as well as rosemary and thyme provide clear evidence of its Mediterranean origin. Some leather, car tyres and musk provide distinctive and animalic nuances. Plum, blackberry and dark cherries provide plenty of flattering fruit. A little chocolate and violets are subtle in the background.
Palate
On the palate, it is surprisingly cool and dark. It is not even slightly ponderous or overly concentrated. Quite the opposite. The slate spice has a calming effect and exudes plenty of elegance. It lives from a fine minerality. The fruit is enormously juicy and animating. The acid pressure sets in promptly and seemingly gives it "wings". It now seems even lighter than before. The dark and spicy notes disappear into the background. A fine tannin framework gives it structure and provides sensory contrasts on the palate.
